The intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) community, both nationally and within the State of New Jersey, is currently facing some of the greatest challenges seen in a generation. From the availability of affordable and accessible housing options; systems funding; direct support professional salaries; potential cuts to Medicaid and other social services; and more, it is clear that individuals with I/DD, family members, and disability advocates must come together to take action and protect the system we have worked so hard to create over the past 50 years.
The New Jersey Developmental Disabilities Advocacy Network’s goal is to bring advocates together to work toward protecting and advancing the rights, opportunities, and service systems for people with I/DD in our state. Key Issues
